How to create a web walk?
On 'Your Page', go to the 'You guide' section. You'll find a button 'Create walk' there.
On the walk editor page, you can fill in the walk data and create new steps and reorder steps.
On the step editor page, you can set all information for an explore, reflect or act step. If you are unsure what to fill in, just hover your mouse over the help icon next to the section title.
Information you need to enter for a walk: a title, a goal (where you are going), prerequisites (where you start from),
a guiding message, the steps in order and the visibility.
Information you need to enter for step: a title, what to do (guidance), type (explore, reflect, act), whether or not
this step is required to earn the badge, the step content (text, video, links, question, poll, ...) and the visibility.
Important: you need to set your walks or steps to public visibility before others can see them!
One day, there will be a list here of featured web walks.
For now, why don't you check out the
latest walks.
Once people start to frequently ask the same questions, we'll add them here. You can give us feedback and tips via the box on the right.
Why is there so little content on the site?
This is a fully functional concept site on web walks, but we're only just starting. Why don't you create a walk on your passion?
This is a HoCo concept site
HoCo is short for Homo Competens. That is latin for competent person. This site is based on the HoCo credo of "learn, do, share".
For more information visit
the Homo Competens site.
This site is based on the following principles:
- The content is out there, there's no need to recreate it.
You'll find almost any information on any topic somewhere on the net. Instead of recreating content, web walks bring only the best of those scattered pieces of information together in a structured and guided web walk.
- Put the content into context.
Web walks put a topic into a particular context, which makes it more appealing and more relevant.
- Getting to know new stuff is social.
That's why we added the social bar at the right side of every page, so you can link up with your Facebook friends.
Terms and conditions
Basically, behave yourself as a good web citizen and don't do evil. That means for example no advertising, no sex,
no violence, not pretending to be someone else, or nothing illegal. Don't walk people through how to torture or make a bomb. It's just not nice.
Or don't put anything on we don't agree with should be on our site. (We have the final say and can remove stuff.)
Obviously, you should not link to spam, spoofs, pages with more commercials than useful information, or the dark places of the internet.
This site is copyrighted Bert De Coutere, and falls under Belgian legislation.
Privacy
We're not evil either. We will not give away or sell any information we have on you.
Here comes a list of quotes with what other people and sites say about us.
